I start by learning
how the work gets done.
Working as a product owner in a large enterprise environment taught me to ask who uses a process, why it exists, and what people actually need. The first request rarely tells the whole story.
I bring the same approach to small businesses. We walk through the work, from the first customer request to the final closeout, and look at where information changes hands, slows down, or gets lost.
Sometimes the answer is custom software. Sometimes it’s connecting tools you already use or removing a step entirely.
The simplest thing that works.
Every extra part is something to maintain. I look for the smallest solution that does the job well and fits the people who depend on it.
A direct line to the person responsible.
When a project needs a specialist, I bring in someone I trust. I still control the deliverable and remain your point of contact.
Outside of work.
I live in Bentonville with my wife, who is a nurse, and our two children. We moved here from Florida in 2023. When we can, we travel: mountain trips, national parks, or time on the coast.
